The exhibit shows a medial view of the sagittal cross-section of the patient’s foot (including the bones and nerves) in its current condition. We show that the heel pad has been destroyed, and there is now only scar tissue. We also show the removal of the damaged nerve. In the upper right corner of the exhibit, we show a small inset of the bones of the foot medial with the fracture shown.
