This exhibit depicts the anterior view of the lungs and coronal view of the brain showing embolism locations. There are embolisms present in the pulmonary artery of the right upper lobe of the lung and in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) of the brain. Embolisms are caused by blockages of proper blood flow in arteries due to blood clots or other obstructions.
