This exhibit shows the lateral and sagittal view of the spine and an axial view of the L5-S1 vertebra receiving an epidural steroid injection. The needle injects the steroid into the epidural space of the spine. Anatomy highlighted in these views includes the arachnoid space, cauda equina, dura, and the epidural space.
