Internal injuries include a left pneumothorax, cardiopulmonary arrest, burst abdomen, protruding bowel, hemoperitoneum, and a shearing injury of the small bowel mesentery. Vascular injuries include a massive hemorrhage and avulsions of the right renal vein from the inferior vena cava (IVC) and inferior mesenteric vein.
