This exhibit shows the sagittal view of the female uterus undergoing a hysterectomy with dilation and curettage. In this procedure, a hysteroscope is inserted into the uterus, allowing for observation of the endometrial scarring. Next, a small curette is used to scrape away the endometrial surfaces.
