This exhibit shows the anterior view of the abdomen undergoing a laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy. In this procedure, the sigmoid colon is divided with a GIA stapler and the sigmoid colon is removed via an EndoCatch bag. An anastomosis of the bowel is then performed using an EEA stapler.
