Laparoscopic Surgery: Trocar Placement and Insufflation
The placement of trocars during laparoscopic surgery. The trocars allow the surgeon to place instruments inside the patient. To be able to view and work inside the abdomen, the abdominal cavity is filled with a gas, usually CO2.
