Insertion of a cannula through the back and into the compressed vertebral body at L1. Inflation of a balloon through the tip of the cannula to expand the vertebral body. Injection of bone cement through the cannula into the space in the middle of the vertebral body. Postoperative condition with vertebral height restored.
