A comparison of Occiput Anterior (OA) birthing position to the Occiput Posterior (OP) birthing position. The names refer to the direction in which the baby is facing during labor. OA means that the baby is back of the baby's head is to the front of the mother's pelvis, and OP that the back of the baby's head is to the back of the mother's pelvis.
