This medial exhibit depicts the palmar view of a right thumb osteotomy procedure. In this exhibit, the base of the thumb is exposed in order to remove a wedge of bone form the first metacarpal of the thumb. The osteotomy site is then reduced and a k-wire and tension wire are used to secure the site.
