This exhibit shows the anterior view of a surgical ureter reconstruction procedure. The first inset shows the retraction of the abdominal contents in order to obtain a view of the right kidney and includes a view of the clipped ureteral stump. The second step in this procedure shows the harvesting of the ileal segment, a large portion of the small intestine. The third step in this procedure shows the placement of the ileal segment to replace the missing right ureter. The ileal segment is sutured to the ureteral stumps at the kidney and bladder.
