Thoracic Disc Herniation with Direct Lateral Interbody Fusion DLIF
This custom 3d medical animation begins with a transparent female showing the spine beneath the skin. As the camera zooms in the spine becomes transparent revealing a T11-12 disc herniation impinging on the spinal cord.
An incision is made lateral to the spine and tubular retractors are used to expose the disc herniation. The annulus is incised, disc material is removed, decortication of the endplates and insertion of an interbody cage is performed.
