This exhibit shows a traumatic finger amputation of the middle phalanx of the middle finger. The sagittal view of a normal finger anatomy highlights the flexor digitorium superficialis tendon, flexor digitorium profundus tendon, digital artery, digital vein, digital nerve, distal phalanx, middle phalanx, and the lateral band of extensor hood. The sagittal view of the severed finger shows the arteries, veins, and nerves severed and the distal phalanx exposed.
