This exhibit shows the lateral and sagittal views of a L1 compression fracture and corresponding kyphoplasty surgery. The kyphoplasty surgery consists of a trocar being inserted through pedicles into the vertebral body, a balloon inserted and inflated to create a cavity, and cement injected into this cavity to raise the vertebral body.
